Christening

Well, Marina's christening  was a big deal especially for my mom. She even brought her the christening gown from Russia. I wanted to get an antique one, but mom decided otherwise:)
I made a bonnet and  matching shoes.
And my brother sent us tiny gold cross.
The ceremony was held at st. Peter and Paul Orthodox church in Montreal (Andrey and mom went to all three, and we all agreed on this one), and it was quite spectacular. My participation was very limited so I had a chance to thoroughly photograph the event. And our godparents performed everything to perfection!

She wasn't pleased with this spontaneous bath and cried a little.
But Tatiana soothed her like a pro and rest went relatively easy.

Next day she had a first communion:)

We thank all the participants and welcome our new relatives to our family! I was considering them a family before, but this makes it official:)

New wrap, silly pug and a happy baby

Firespiral Frost Midwinter its name:) Soft, thin and beautiful. After washing and drying we took it for a spin.

Pug hates doorbell. Every time there is a parcel at the door - he starts not even barking, rather screaming like a banshee. Usually I lock him in the office and rush to the door.
Today I happened to have baby in my arms (she just ate). I opened the door and it wasn't our  usual mailman, but a new guy. He gave me my parcel, asked for signature and complemented my cute daughter.   And she immediately spit up.
Not just a bit, but it looked like suddenly she decided to reenact that scene from Exorcist (except it was not green in color). There was enough liquid to cover herself, me and a signature pad.  And pug was still screaming in a background.
Mailman lost his colors, told me to keep the pen and literally run of the porch.
I swear, I heard my daughter laugh for a first time!
This is how we make an impression:)

Geranium obsession

Our neighborhood favors geraniums.
Some people take it to competitive level.
I'd say third floor is winning.

***

Found a picture that I didn't show before. She was so small and used to live in that wrap inside my shirt.
I think it's so cool! And I actually miss that time:)
